Seth Alicea, Eastern Christian class of 2014 recently earned The Congressional Award, Congress’ highest award for young people.
Alicea earned the honor for his work with homeless ministries. In addition to this recognition, Alicea also spoke on the topic as a part of the award recognition ceremony for outstanding area youth (video above).
“Seth’s ability to lead and serve has been evident at Eastern Christian High School, and has extended far beyond the school walls,” said Ruth Kuder, Principal, Eastern Christian High School. “We are proud of his willingness to serve the homeless and to advocate for their needs.”
Alicea is another example of the amazing servant attitude and the desire to transform the world that Eastern Christian High School students possess. Earlier this year, Eastern Christian was recognized as a New Jersey District of Character.
